Time sure flies and we’re already saying good bye to our winter
neighbors. Again this year the club will
be selling pickleballs for you to take to your summer home if you need
them. See Jim Hamann (630-514-5614) if you want the dura 40, $10 for 6 or $20 for 12.
And when you return in the fall you will see (hopefully) the slope
by court 4 repaired. In our recent vote
the club chose to fund installation of an information board (79% voted yes) and
repair of the slope by court 4 (82% voted yes).
The information board design is still being finalized and will begin
working its way through the HOA approval process. And the courts should be resurfaced by then
as well.
You will also see changes in some of the club design. We will begin charging Membership Dues of
$15/person for the playing year. While
the dues will cover the cost of balls they are primarily being implemented as a
tool to manage the membership list. Dues
will be required to play in scheduled events, vote on club issues, and continue
to remain on the mailing list. You can
still play socially and have access to the blog (soon to be web page) without
the dues.
There will be some minor changes in our player rating process but
at this time the details are still being worked out.

if you are interested in playing in tournaments she can help:
It is never too early to
start planning for Pickleball Tournaments next year and If you are looking for
a partner for tournament play next season, Diane Martin, from Palm Creek, is
willing to keep a record and pass names along. If interested, send her your
name, tournament age,and who you are looking for, male, female, along with your
email and your current pickleball rating. Diane will pass along all the names
and info of players who match your request. Any questions, contact Diane

The
final potluck of the season is Wednesday, April 11 at 6:00 pm. It will be your last chance this season to
eat with your friends before we go our separate ways. Travel safe and have a good summer!
